My interest in nutrition, exercise and sport started at the very young age of 13 years old. I spent most of my childhood overweight and obese feeling trapped in a body that didn’t allow me to have the life I really wanted. I begged my mom to join a gym, read books from the library and through trial and error lost 80 pounds. About 2 years later I found myself training and teaching aerobics at the same gym I begged my mom to join, was competing in triathlons and was even hired at my high school to help teach fitness and nutrition. This led me on a path in Health and Science, becoming a Registered Massage Therapist specializing in sport, working with pro athletes and continuing to be a conditioning coach and eventually a nutrition coach.
Serving as an emergency first responder for over 15 years changed me and affected my physical and mental health. I no longer recognized the person I was, sleep deprived, overwhelmed, and unknowingly dealing with depression and PTSD. I didn’t know then, but a coping mechanism to numb and have a sense of control was developing an addiction and for me was an eating disorder. I share this part of my journey because even for someone who has the knowledge and experience in nutrition and fitness, life, mental health, mindset, all of it is powerful and demonstrates that nutrition and what we eat is about more than just the food.
Today I am grateful for what I lived through as it taught me critical life lessons making me the empowered person and coach I am today. I’m thriving, not just surviving.
Through my experiences and journey, I have lived and learned that nutrition, health, lifestyle, body composition and fitness are far more layered and complex than the food we put in our mouth. It’s about our thoughts, mindset, behaviours, habits, environment and our “why”.
Growth requires discipline, consistency, resilience, perseverance, knowing your value, being aligned with your values and accepting who you are while growing into the person you deserve to be. It’s about progress not perfection.

My mission as your coach is to not only give you knowledge, support, accountability and understanding, but to empower you so when challenges and obstacles come your way, you have the tools to navigate through them, stay on course, and to take back control of your health, body and mind so you can thrive in life.
For me, working out and focusing on my nutrition is about being as healthy as I can be in order to live a life full of intensity and as many adventures as possible. As your coach I want to help you do the same. I will meet you where you’re at and together we will work through old habits, limiting beliefs, and restrictive diet rules you’ve believed for far too long.
Outside of my passion for coaching I live an active life with my dog Ellie Bean. I love world travel, exploring new places and learning about different cultures. I enjoy rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, surfing, lifting heavy and doing improv comedy.
